I’d be lying if I said I knew who Tim Westwood was, but I gotta thank the Englishman for this one. Sure, a lot of it is a combo of Vol.3‘s “Do It Again,” “NYMP” and “Come And Get Me,” but it’s still never-before-heard Jay and it’s still absolute fiiya.
Hov hasn’t dropped any flames in a while. That’s fine. I get it. There are only so many hours in the day. After handing Blue Ivy off to a squad of nannies, working tirelessly on a destined-to-fail music streaming service, and finding time to nail Queen Bey before she removes that weave, booth time is tough to come by. That’s all well and good. Jay is an all-time great. He has earned the right to pick his spots and pencil the music production into his schedule as he sees fit. But I’ll be damned if I’m gonna miss an opportunity to listen to some new, peak-level late 90s Shawn Carter. New, old music is always a treat.
